The Global Impact: Uganda Hygiene Mission
We raised $500 through our handmade jewelry fundraiser to support hygiene needs in an underserved community in Kampala, Uganda. Working with In Need Home, we coordinated the purchase and distribution of sanitary pads for girls, detergent soap, underwear, toothpaste, and toothbrushes to 80 critically vulnerable individuals โ including orphans, women living with HIV, elderly caregivers, and chronically ill children.
The beneficiaries sent a heartfelt letter of appreciation, and the Executive Director personally thanked West Boca Community High School students for demonstrating that young people can create meaningful global change.
We hosted a hygiene donation drive at school in partnership with the club Kindness Matters to spread awareness and encourage participation. We collected essential hygiene items including deodorant, soap, oral care products, hair care products, sanitary pads, and wipes. All donated items were given to St. Gregory Church for distribution to individuals and families in need.

Mini Crafts & Hygiene Presentation
We engaged young individuals through an interactive hygiene activity combining a short slide presentation with a hands-on craft. The lesson introduced handwashing, dental care, personal cleanliness, cough/sneeze etiquette, and the importance of clean drinking water in an age-appropriate way. The craft helped children visually connect hygiene practices with everyday habits.
We distributed hygiene awareness flyers at the park to educate young individuals about healthy habits. The flyers included easy-to-follow tips: handwashing, toothbrushing, showering regularly, wearing clean clothes, covering coughs and sneezes, and drinking clean water. A fun and approachable way to inspire daily healthy habits in children and teens.
